Service Wing (Seva) – SSSIO Barbados
The Service Wing of the Sri Sathya Sai International Organisation (SSSIO) in Barbados is dedicated to practicing selfless service (Seva) as a path to spiritual growth, inspired by the teachings of Sathya Sai Baba.
Sai Baba taught that service to others is service to God, for the Divine resides in every being. When performed with love and without expectation, Seva becomes a powerful spiritual discipline (sadhana)—helping to reduce the ego and cultivate compassion, humility, and inner peace.
In Barbados, our activities include:
- Feeding the homeless, particularly on public and bank holidays
- Providing food hampers and basic necessities to families in need
- Supporting children with breakfast programmes and school supplies
- Offering care and gifts to hospitals, the elderly, and children’s homes
- Participating in blood donation drives and community initiatives
These acts of service are not just about helping others—they are opportunities for inner transformation. As Sai Baba reminded us:
